10 .. 9 … 8 ……. Take Off! My return to the UK! Thank You! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

So its been a month (more or less) and that means it is the end of my travels around Washington DC, New York City, Toronto and Ottawa and to return back to UK based priorities. That is not it thought so after I get back to the UK I will then write my research up into a report which will include recommendations or shared learning practices for UK organisations and those that interact them to learn better. More than that this travelling experience has given me a whole range of new experiences and ideas which I would love to discuss with UK organisations again! This fellowship would of been so much more difficult without the modern communication we have now and on a less interesting statistic but fun all the same,  I have calculated that I will of travelled just over 9,000 miles during this fellowship!

Thank You for reading this blog whether it was just this post or you have read along the whole time I really appreciate it. However a very important thank you has to go to the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust who without their support, their belief in me and their network I would not of had this fantastic opportunity to of travelled by myself and met so many fantastic people and organisations! I will remember this experience for time to come and will try to put what I have learnt into my work! If you have ideas make sure you check out www.wcmt.org.uk to find out if your ideas would work for one of their fellowships!

However, a very special thank you has to go to my Mum, Dad and Sister for supporting me the whole time either from application, to interview to my trip and beyond as without them reading draft blog posts, giving me ideas and general support! Then also to my friends especially Bethany, Charlie, Courtney, Maddy and Zoe for keeping me up to date with the going on’s of Reading and beyond (even the complaining) and their support through this fellowship has been great!

Next stop Manchester International Airprort! πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§
